In 2013, whilst studying at Stellenbosch University, two young Namibian students came together to create Namib Rage Events. Carel-David Rautenbach and Frans Nutt shared a goal: to bring high quality electronic music festivals and other events back home to Namibia. Their vision quickly came to fruition and they have since annually hosted Beach Bash - a summer holiday favourite - at the Namibian coast. Given the rapid uptake of Beach Bash, they added the Sound of Summer festival to their events portfolio in 2016.

The Namib Rage Events hit a high note in 2019, when it hosted its largest event yet: the Cruz Vodka Sound of Summer 2019, with over 6200 people in attendance. Unfortunately, in 2020, festivals and events drew to a standstill as the COVID-19 outbreak surged the world over. Along with the rest of the world, Namib Rage Events sat it out. However, now that the pandemic has subsided, Namib Rage Events is ready to go bigger and better! The Namib Rage team is thrilled to continue with Beach Bash and Sound of Summer tradition, and to add new and exciting ventures to their list

Unfortunately, the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 brought the world of festivals and events to a halt, challenging us and the entire industry. However, as the pandemic subsides and the world begins to recover, Namib Rage Events is ready to make a triumphant return. We are determined to continue delivering extraordinary experiences, building on the cherished traditions of Beach Bash and Sound of Summer, while also exploring new and thrilling ventures that will push the boundaries of our events even further.
